Overlooking a secluded beach, our Guesthouse lies on the outskirts of historic Simon’s Town, between Cape Town and Cape Point, on the False Bay Coastline. Our accommodation provides ten lovingly handcrafted rooms, each an authentic creation of many exotic cultures that echoes South African’s own rich heritage. Six rooms grant a magnificent sea view, while four offer majestic mountain vistas and garden excess. Take in the warm hospitality of our eclectic reception areas and enjoy our gorgeous breakfasts in the quiet serenity of our dining room which has an outstanding vantage point to watch the calving whales and the penguin colonies.
Our unique Guesthouse offers our clients an intimate wedding venue with spectacular views of the ocean. We offer
a secluded garden or courtyard for your wedding ceremony. And have a beautiful beach situated opposite the
Guesthouse which will provide you with a romantic back drop to the beginning of your perfect day. Our venue can
accommodate a maximum of STRICTLY 40 guests for a seated function or STRICTLY 60 guests for a cocktail function.
With our unmistakable attention to detail, Whale View Manor aims to make your very special day unforgettable. VENUE HIRE
A venue hire fee will be determined according to the date, time, size and specific requirements of your event.
This includes exclusivity of Whale View Manor, all service staff, our in-house events coordinator, 9 en-suite
bedrooms and honeymoon suite with a Continental for all guests the morning after the wedding.
MENUS
Please advise your choice of 1 starter, 1 main and 1 dessert. As each item is individually priced, a predetermined
amount will be confirmed for your menu choice. Should you have any specific requirements regarding menu
items, please advise and we would be happy to accommodate your requests. Should you require a selection of
cocktail canapés to be served to your guests prior to your event, please indicate these choices and the cost will
be included in your quote.
BEVERAGES
We do not permit any beverages to be brought to the venue, therefore a fully stocked bar is available. This may
work on an account system, where all beverages consumed will be added to the final account. The other
option is to offer a cash bar, where all beverages consumed are paid for by the guest. Cocktail drinks served on
arrival are available and this would need to be pre-arranged and the amount added to the account. Should
the client wish to provide their own wine and champagne, then a corkage fee of R38-00 per bottle will be
charged.
PARKING
Parking at Whale View Manor Guest House is limited and therefore we are unable to offer parking to guests
attending any event. Parking is available in the public parking bays below the Guesthouse and cars are parked
at your own risk. Please ensure that cars are locked and no valuables left inside. Should the client require a
parking attendant to watch the cars during the function this may be arranged at an additional fee.
SHAYA MOYA SPA
We have an spa in-house where we are able to assist the bride and bridegroom with treatments before and after
the wedding. We also offer Hair and makeup for the bride as well as her family and friends. This is an additional
costing.
DÉCOR
All décor requirements need to be arranged with our in-house coordinator. This includes floral décor, table
settings, printed menus, floor plans, table numbers, bridal floral requirements i.e. Bridal bouquet, bridesmaid’s
bouquet, corsages, button holes etc may also be arranged by our preferred Florist.
STAFF
All staff is employed by Whale View Manor Guesthouse and the amount of staff will be determined by the size
and requirements of each individual function which will be charged accordingly.
GRATUITY
A 15% gratuity is added to all food and beverage accounts and is paid to staff contracted to work the event.
CEREMONY
Wedding ceremonies are able to take place under the gazebo in the garden, in the courtyard or on the deck
overlooking the ocean another option is to have the ceremony on Fishermans beach, directly opposite Whale
View Manor Guest House. Please note that should the client require a ceremony on the beach, we would need
to apply for a permit and obtain permission from the Municipality. All costs i.e. Chair hire, wedding arch or
gazebo, floral décor, minister, photographer may be arranged with our in-house co-ordinator and charged onto
the account.
MUSIC
All music, DJ, or entertainment may be outsourced by our co-ordinator. Please be advised that all music does
need to be turned off at STRICTLY 12 midnight. Under no circumstances can the cut off time be extended for
any reason.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENTS REQUIREMENTS
A 50% deposit is required to secure Whale View Manor Guesthouse on the date that has been requested.
This amount needs to be deposited into the bank account details provided. The balance of the account is to be
paid 4 weeks prior to the date of your function. Final payment for any additional costs incurred ie. Beverages,
corkage, gratuities etc will need to be settled before departure.
Please note that any damage or breakages to any hired item or that belonging to the Whale View Manor Guest
House will need to be replaced or paid for in full. Please note check out time is strictly at 10am the next morning.
Please also note that all flowers/left over décor and wedding cake must be removed off the property by 10am
the next morning.
RESERVATION, PAYMENT & CANCELLATION CONDITIONS
All Wedding reservations are made subject to Terms and Conditions of Business.
Wedding reservations are not secure until full deposit has been paid.
The full Wedding deposit of 50% must be made on the day of confirmation.
Bookings made at shorter notice must be confirmed by full payment within 48 hours.
Bookings cancelled 45 - 30 days prior to arrival, 25% of deposit will be forfeited.
Bookings cancelled 30 - 21 days prior to arrival, 50% of deposit will be forfeited.
Bookings cancelled 21 - 14 days prior to arrival, 75% of deposit will be forfeited.
Bookings cancelled within 14 days of arrival, 100% of deposit will be forfeited.
All refunds are subject to a 15% administration fee.
Bookings will be released automatically & without notification if these conditions are not met
